Tides finish second

Three Roanoke Valley boys Colin Long, Cameron Medlin and Ethan Vincent are part of the Rocky Monty based U-11 travel baseball team Carolina Tides.  The team traveled to Knightdale this weekend to compete against 15 other teams in a tournament. 

The Tides made it to the championship game but came up short to the Pitt County pirates 3-5. They finished 2nd with a 3-1 record out of the 16 teams. The three area guys stats were as followed: Colin Long was 5 for 7, Cameron Medlin 4 for 10 and Ethan Vincent 2 for 7. Cameron Medlin earned 1 pitching win on the mound.
