Ultimate Cheer send three teams to Chapel Hill

Roanoke Rapids Ultimate Cheer took to the road today, headed for their first cheer competition of the 2013 season. The Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill played host to over 105 teams in different divisions at the Sweetheart Classic.

Ultimate Cheer sent three teams to compete, they were the mini, youth, and senior. "Out teams have worked hard and as a small, first-time gym, we were looking forward to the experience and of course a good time," said instructor Jessica Clements.

In the end the Roanoke Rapids girls did gain some experience and even some hardware. The mini team placed 5th, the youth team placed 10th, while the senior team placed placed 2nd.
