A new charge filed against the organizer of a December party where a person was shot reflects gang activity.
A December 17 confrontation during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Franklin Street led to commendations for two Roanoke Rapids police officers.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:
A Roanoke Rapids man whose parole ended in July after serving prison time for a 2009 armed robbery was arrested after he allegedly robbed a Tenth Street convenience store and stole the cashier’s vehicle Wednesday night.
An armed robbery suspect who reportedly stole the cashier’s vehicle has been taken into custody this evening.
