Roanoke Valley law enforcement report the following:
Three people were charged Friday in a May 21 assault which occurred in Rich Square.
Longtime Rich Square Police Chief A.B. “Bobo” Roye will step down from the position at the end of October.
A three-month investigation that began when an ex-employee of a Rich Square tax preparation service alleged her credentials were being used to file federal and state taxes after she left resulted in charges against the company for allegedly filing returns using bogus documents.
