Gray Gray Northampton County Sheriff's Office

A Pennsylvania fugitive and former Northampton County resident was apprehended in Jackson last week.

Captain M.D. DeLoatch Sr. of the county sheriff's office said in a statement Sheriff Jack Smith received an anonymous tip Friday on the whereabouts of Ronnie Mack Gary, 48, who one time lived in Jackson.

A search team formed and a warrant was obtained for a residence off Bill Johnson Road.

There Gary was found hiding behind the bathroom door. He was taken into custody without trouble.

DeLoatch said the warrants did not indicate what Gary was wanted for in Pennsylvania and it was not clear how long he had been in Jackson.

“The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is committed to working with any and all law enforcement agencies in or out of state,” said Sheriff Jack Smith. “I would like to thank Chief John Young and the Jackson Police Department for their assistance in apprehending Mr. Gary.”
