The officers learned the victim's vehicle was damaged from the gun fire while further investigation determined there was an additional crime scene where more shots were fired.

Trayvon Purnell, 23, and his brother, Bobby, 25, both of Roanoke Rapids, were arrested.

Bobby was charged with with going armed to the terror of the people, injury to personal property and possession of a firearm by a felon.

His brother was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Both men were jailed in the Halifax County Detention Center with a January 15 court date.

Investigation has determined that the shooting is the result of an argument between the victim and one of the brothers.
