NBA veteran Wilcox speaks to youth basketball league

The Halifax Community Basketball League held it's 2017 end of season banquet Friday night at Kirkwood Community Center in Roanoke Rapids.

League players and parents were treated to dinner catered by Grand Pa's Kitchen of Littleton.

Then the ten year NBA veteran and part of the 2002 Maryland NCAA Champion team and  Whitesville NC native Chris Wilcox spoke to the crowd.

Award were presented to player, coaches, donators and volunteers.

Golden State Worriers earned the JV &-11 year olds Champions while Oklahoma City Thunder earned the Varsity 8-15 year olds Champions.
