The war of words between Chuck “The Peacekeeper” Hasty and Joey “The Bad Situation” Landen is expected to become more heated Saturday night as RAGE Wrestling Warriors return to action at the Roanoke Rapids High School Gym.

“We’re just trying to build the hype up,” Hasty, Roanoke Rapids police chief, said.

Whether there is a full-blown fight between the two, Hasty wouldn’t say. “I’m not going to give away the whole story line.”

Landen would only say today he expects the wrestling-style feud to escalate at the event, which is a fundraiser for the Roanoke Valley Veterans Museum.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and bell time is 7 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

RAGE notes in its press release for the event both Hasty and Landen plan to be there after words between the two boiled over and the two got into scuffle at a November event. “ … So know one knows what will happen next between these two men.”

RAGE is a Christian-based entertainment organization and seven matches are scheduled at the high school including the RAGE Wrestling Warriors New Genesis Cruiserweight Tournament.

The card for Saturday is as follows:

Pro Wrestling Legend “Mr. 1” George South takes on “The Pain Train” Preston Quinn.   Additionally, South will be sharing his testimony.

South has been wrestling for more than 35 years and has been featured in the NWA, WCW, and WWF.

RAGE World Champion “The Tongan Giant” Asaafi goes up against “Madd” Maxx Morrison.

In a number one contender’s match for the RAGE World Tag Team Championship the Geordie Bulldogs — Sean and Mark Denny — face off with Mayhem Inc. — “Big Money” Benjamin Banks and Tremmor.  The winners of this match will challenge the current RAGE World Tag Team Champions—The Extreme Horsemen on May 5 at Roanoke Rapids High School Gym.

“The Geek with the Physique” Seymour Snott will go up against “Rockin” Ryan Mills.

Also, this event will feature a three-round tournament to determine the first RAGE Wrestling Warriors New Genesis Cruiserweight Champion.

The first round of the tournament will feature an eight-man tag team elimination match with the winning team advancing.

The second round will feature the four winners from the first match competing in a randomly selected tag team match with the winning team advancing to take on each other in the final round to determine the first-ever New Genesis Cruiserweight Champion.

Tickets will be available at the door.
