A Garysburg racing enthusiast is making his mark in the motorsport of street class drifting.

Known as Terrance "Punisher" Vick, he started the 2017 season with a first-place trophy after strong finishes last season which included a first-place in Rockingham and a second-place in Wilson.
Vick’s passion for motorsports started at an early age and included a love of motorcycles and cars.
He began drag racing with a 2004 Dodge Neon SRT4, a 2004 custom-tuned and supercharged Mustang, and a 2007 Corvette C6 which he custom-tuned.

This evolved into a deeper need for an adrenaline rush and after attending a drift event in Virginia he bought a Nissan Turbo 240 SX.
The Nissan was not the right fit, so he bought a 1999 BMW E46 and began watching The Drift King’s instructional video The Drift Bible which helped him learn the technique and balance.
A few tires and practice runs later he was off to his first event in Myrtle Beach in 2015 and is now to the point where he is winning events.
Numerous medals and decals have been won and Vick has aspirations of moving from the drift street class and through the ranks — Formula Drift Pro-Am and Formula Drift Pro 2 — to become a Formula Drift Pro Driver.
Team Ghost will have "Ghost Style Drift" events which will give demos, drift shows, ride alongs, and more in the months to come.
