Bobby’s Number 2 on Bolling Road sold a $1 million Ruby Red 7s scratch-off ticket this morning.

Store owner Bobby Alzer said his cashier scanned the ticket to confirm the $20 Ruby Red was indeed a million dollar winner. He said his cashier scanned the ticket around 9:15 a.m. and sent him a photo.
Alzer said the ticket was purchased by a woman who had been washing clothes at the laundromat located on the same development as his store. He did not know the woman’s name.
The store has a history of selling big prize winners, having sold a $500,000 ticket, two $100,000 tickets and many $10,000, $5,000 and $1,000 tickets.
“I think we’re just a lucky store,” Alzer said. “Every time someone hits big it means business for us.”
The winner will have to take the ticket to the North Carolina Education Lottery headquarters to fill out the paperwork to claim the prize and give information for an official press release.
