The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:


Monday November 7, 2016

• Michael Lynn Fleming, 53, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with trespassing.
He received a $500 bond and January 20 court date.


Background

At approximately 8 a.m., Officer A. Salmon responded to New Dixie Mart in the 1900 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway about a person refusing to leave the property.
Fleming refused to leave the property when asked by store staff and Salmon took him into custody.


Tuesday November 8, 2016

• Donald Ray Bowers, 43, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with hit/run, filing a false police report and driving while license revoked.
He received a $5,000 bond and December 21 court date.


Background

The previous day around 4 p.m., Officer J. Mason responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at Roanoke Avenue and Oak Street where one of the drivers left the scene.
During his investigation of the collision, Mason determined Bowser fled the collision scene.

Wednesday November 9, 2016

• Olivia Zykia Hawkins, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with breaking/entering.
She was released to the custody of a responsible party until her December 9 court date.


Background

The charges stem from an investigation by Officer M. Hunsucker, on November 1 after the victim reported someone broke into their residence and took pictures and posted them to Facebook.
Hunsucker determined Hawkins took and posted the pictures.
Officer A. Green arrested Hawkins without trouble.

Thursday November 10, 2016

• Creshaun Demetrick Caldwell, 20, of Oakland Park, Florida, was arrested and charged with flee to elude arrest with motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and no operator’s license.
He received a $100,000 bond and December 30 court date.


Background

Around 4:15 a.m., the Greensville County Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of a vehicle on Interstate 95 south when Lieutenant P. Parks attempted a stop
The driver failed to stop for blue lights/sirens and avoided several sets of Stop Sticks deployed by various agencies.
The vehicle came to a stop on Highway 264 and the driver fled.
He was caught around 8 a.m. at a business when he came in and asked for directions.

• Khalil Antonio Ingram, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired.
He was released to a responsible party until his December 12 court date.


Background

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Officer H. Grimes conducted a traffic stop on Highway 125 for an investigation into a disturbance call at Fairfield Apartments.
Grimes determined Ingram was impaired.
Master Officer R. Ball assisted.

• James Jerel Mason, 26, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell marijuana.
He received a $10,000 bond and January 20 court date.


Background


At approximately 10 a.m., Green made a stop for a violation at Sixth and Jackson streets.
Green found Mason in possession of narcotics and took him into custody.
Master Officer J. Benthall assisted.

Saturday November 12, 2016

• Michael Marion Tomlinson, 17, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
He was released to a responsible party until his December 2 court date.


Background


At approximately 6:30 p.m., Officer R. Cross responded to Walmart about a larceny.
Tomlinson allegedly took items.

Sunday November 13, 2016

• Jawan Lamont Turner, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
He received a $500 bond and December 16 court date.


Background


At approximately 6:30 p.m., Cross responded to New Dixie Mart about a larceny.
Turner allegedly took items.
Sergeant M. Peck assisted.


Monday November 14, 2016

• Calvin Leon Bailey, 28, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged by City County Task Drug Force Agent D. Hundley for possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bailey received a $15,000 bond and December 28 court date.


Background


Around 11 a.m., Hundley was following up on a drug complaint at Bailey’s residence.
During the investigation Hundley found Bailey in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia. Deputy Chief A. Jackson and Investigator F. Griffin assisted.

• Michael Joseph Corren, 20, of Littleton, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Corren received a $500 bond and December 2 court date.
• Nicolas Blake Hux, 21, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested on an outstanding order for arrest. Hux received a $500 bond and December 2 court date.


Background


At approximately 3:45 p.m., Ball was on routine patrol in the area of Cedarwood Cemetery and noticed two suspicious vehicles parked in the back.
Ball found Corren in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia and Hux had an outstanding warrant.
Sergeant D. Jenkins and Grimes assisted.

Tuesday November 15, 2016

• Gary Winston Thomas, 57, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with larceny and possession of stolen goods by Officer S. Blythe.
Thomas received a $500 bond and December 6 court date.


Background

At approximately 2 p.m., JustSave staff reported Thomas took items and walked away.
Blythe located Thomas a short distance away and took him into custody without trouble.
Ball assisted.

• Roger Dale Abernathy, 52, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine by Mason.
Abernathy received a $5,000 bond and a December 21 court date.


Background

At approximately 11:45 p.m., Mason and Hunsucker responded to a medical call at Abernathy’s residence.
During the interaction officers noticed narcotics in plain view.
Abernathy was taken into custody without trouble.

Wednesday November 16, 2016

• Julia Teresa Williams Graham, 46, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with drunk/disruptive disorderly conduct by Lieutenant B. Norton.
Graham received a $500 bond and December 9 court date.


Background

At approximately 5:30 a.m., Norton responded to a residence in the 300 block of Madison Street for a disturbance call.
Graham was refusing to leave and cursing.
After several attempts to get Graham to leave and stop cursing, she was taken into custody.
Green, Mason and Hunsucker assisted.
