Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls Troop NC-0100 are collecting donations and new toys to be sent to children around the world as part of the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gift program through Samaritan's Purse.

The goal of Troop NC-0100 is to put together 100 shoebox gifts this year.
Texas Steakhouse has offered to help with this endeavor and has agreed to be a drop off point for people wishing to donate new toys. Collier Harley-Davidson will be a drop-off point as well. Texas Steakhouse is also offering incentives for those dining with them.
Each shoebox gift costs $7 for shipping and handling.
There is also a donation box to help with these costs for anyone wishing to help monetarily. Both cash and checks are acceptable with checks made out to Troop NC-0100.
Information is also available about Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls and for anyone interested in being a part of these programs.
A special informational night will be held this evening from 7 to 8:30 at the Troop NC-0100 Building located at 715 Jackson Street in Roanoke Rapids.
For more information call 252-536-9280.
