NCSO blotter: August 21-22

The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Detective Patrick Jacobs:

August 21
At approximately 1:36 a.m., Deputy D. Shephard responded to a suspicious person call at Highway 35 and Ashley’s Grove Road in the Conway area.
He identified the man as Antwan Howard, of Woodland.
The deputy discovered Howard was occupying a vehicle and was found in possession of several firearms.
Howard was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a concealed weapon.
He received a $10,300 secured bond. Howard has two court dates in September and one in October.
“The goals of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office are to keep the communities and highways safe,” Sheriff Jack Smith said. “We are going to continue to remove all drugs and guns from our communities to keep them safe.”

Shephard responded to 119 Jameson Avenue in Woodland on a child custody dispute call. Shephard discovered Tykeith Hicks, who was inside the residence, had outstanding warrants for battery of an unborn child.
Hicks was arrested and received a 48 hour domestic violence hold with bond pending.

August 22
At approximately 9:32 pm Deputy W. Killian located Kaleel Boone of Garysburg on the roadway of Deerfield Lane.
Boone had two outstanding warrants for communicating threats. Boone was arrested and received no bond and a 48 hour domestic violence hold.
