RRPD blotter: August 22-25, 2016

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

Monday August 22, 2016
At approximately 12:30 p.m., Master Officer Roy Ball observed Travis Dale Jones, 35, of Roanoke Rapids, driving in the area of Highway 158 and Church Street.
Ball knew his license was revoked and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
Jones initially refused to stop after Ball activated his blue lights. He was eventually stopped at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Weldon Road and taken into custody.
Officers found narcotics in his possession.
Jones was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked, flee to elude arrest, possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule II, possession of schedule VI and maintaining a vehicle.
He received a $2,500 bond and October 5 court date.
Lieutenant Perry Parks, officers Jamie Hardy and Jeffrey Mason assisted.
Tuesday August 23, 2016
At approximately 9 a.m., Investigator Chris Babb arrested Adrian Demone Risper, 28, of Roanoke Rapids, for larceny and possession of stolen goods and served an order for arrest after he surrendered at the police department.
The charges stem from a matter reported last September when the victim was in a local business and left their wallet after paying for items.
Ripser picked the wallet up and left the store without returning or letting the owner know.
He received a $280 bond and a September 13 court date.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., Parks responded to a domestic assault in the 100 block of Duke Street.
Parks discovered the victim had an injury to her arm.
He arrested and charged Rakeon Lamonta Silver, 19, with assault on a female.
Silver was jailed without opportunity for bond and has a September 9 court date.
Sergeant Daniel Jenkins assisted.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., Ball and Master Officer Adam Salmon received information on the location of Devonte Terrell Hudson, 24, of Roanoke Rapids, who had outstanding warrants.
They located Hudson at a residence in the 400 block of Franklin Street.
He was taken into custody and charged with burglary, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
The charges stem from a matter reported July 10 when the victim found their home was broken into.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., Hardy responded to a larceny at Walmart.
Loss prevention reported Priscilla Mae Robinson, 51, of Roanoke Rapids, took items.
Hardy arrested and charged Robinson with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
She received a $500 bond and September 9 court date.
Jenkins assisted.
Wednesday August 24, 2016
At approximately 8 a.m., Officer Alex Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation at Fifth and Hamilton streets.
During the stop Green found the driver, Bradley Keith Love, 25, of Roanoke Rapids, in possession of narcotics.
Green cited Love for failing to wear seatbelt, possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released until his October 10 court date.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., Parks conducted a traffic stop for a violation at Emery Street and Roanoke Avenue.
During the stop Parks learned the driver, Ernest Henry Hux Jr., 34, of Roanoke Rapids, had several outstanding orders for arrest, was entered as a probation absconder and his license was revoked.
He was arrested on the driving charge and the outstanding orders.
He received a $21,000 bond and September 7 court date.
Hardy assisted.
At approximately 9 a.m., Ball responded to a domestic assault in the 200 block of Wheeler Street.
Ball noticed the victim had injuries to their arm.
He arrested and charged Kalya Arrington, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, with assault.
She was jailed without opportunity for bond and received a September 9 court date.
Hardy and Alex Green assisted.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Hardy responded to a larceny at Walmart.
Loss prevention reported Bridgett Michelle Davis, 24, of Pine Tops, J’Bria Smith, 16, of Scotland Neck, and Nya Monay Edmond, 18, of Roanoke Rapids, took items.
Hardy charged them with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Davis was also charged with possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Smith and Edmond received $500 bonds and Davis a $1,000 bond. They have September 9 court dates.
Parks and Ball assisted.
Thursday August 25, 2016
At approximately 10:20 a.m., Hardy conducted a traffic stop for a violation at highways 158 and 48. During the stop the passenger put something under the vehicle seat.
Hardy had Bryant Antonio Harrison, 28, of Weldon, get out of the vehicle. The officer retrieved a bag with a gun, narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside.
Bryant was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He received a $5,000 bond and September 21 court date.
Parks, Jenkins and Ball assisted.
