A Roanoke Rapids man has been charged in a shooting which occurred on Bolling Road last month.

State court records show James Randall-Todd Davis was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and has an initial court date of July 20.
Roanoke Rapids police Chuck Hasty said Davis was arrested Friday around 4 p.m.
Hasty said in a statement last month police responded to the 1300 block of Bolling Road around 3:45 the morning of June 11 and discovered the victim had a gunshot wound to the head.
Hasty said this evening the shooting was a result of a dispute, but declined to elaborate, saying, “We’ll leave that for the court system to decide.”
Hasty said the victim is OK but continues to receive medical care.
