Two brothers have been arrested for reportedly stealing a flat screen from Walmart on November 12.

Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Chuck Hasty said Cody Daniel Bell, 19, of Roanoke Rapids was arrested and charged Monday by Investigator B.L. Martin.

Martin confirmed this afternoon Cody's brother, Robert Gerald Bell, 26, is in the process of being booked at the police station.

The pair face charges of shoplifting, larceny, defeating an anti-theft device and possession of stolen goods.

Cody Bell, who was arrested around 4:45 p.m. Monday, received a $2,000 bond and December 16 court date.

As Robert Bell was still in the booking process as of this report, no bond or court date was immediately available.

The matter was first reported in the police department's twice-weekly blotter roundup on November 13.

On November 12 around 4 p.m., Sergeant Mike Moseley responded to a larceny call at Walmart where two men pushed a flat screen TV out of the store.
