Town police Chief Virginia Powell said in a statement “tireless hours” of investigation led to the arrests of the men in the April breaking and entering of R.L. Electric.
An antique cash register, checkbooks, $500 in cash, a safe box and several rolls of coins were taken in the heist.
Three Seaboard men — Dont’e Barnes, 23, Markin Robinson, 23, and Darrius Riddick, 25 — were arrested, along with Kiiriq Collins, 20, of Rich Square, who frequents the Seaboard area.
Riddick was arrested on September 19 while the other men were arrested on September 15.
Riddick is incarcerated in Southside Regional Jail in Greensville County on charges served by that jurisdiction. He is jailed under a $10,500 bond. The other men received $6,500 bonds.
The men face charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and damage to personal property.
“Being able to give the business owners and citizens of Seaboard a piece of mind is a reward within itself,” Powell said. “It's only right to bring these individuals to justice because the citizens deserve better.
“I'm not going to tolerate it and will continue to work diligently to protect and serve the citizens of Seaboard. Slowly but surely we’re going to convince criminals if you commit crimes in Seaboard you're going to be brought to justice.”
