HCSO roundup: Zoo Road B&E; ATV theft

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Chief Deputy Scott Hall:

On September 3, an investigation into a breaking and entering by Detective R.M. Brown resulted in the arrests of two Roanoke Rapids men.
The crime occurred in the Zoo Road area. The property stolen following the breaking and entering was located at a pawn shop and returned to the owners.
Brown charged Patrick Heustess, 24, and Timothy Wayne Joyner, 23, with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses, and conspiracy.
Joyner received a $25,000 bond and Heustess a $20,000 bond. Both have September 28 court dates.
Joyner was arrested on September 9 and Heustess on September 19 during a state Highway Patrol traffic stop.

On August 17, Brown and Detective R.B. Biggerstaff investigated a report of a stolen four-wheeler from the Roanoke Rapids area.
The investigations led to the arrests of Caleb Lee Snider, 25, and Alonza Northington Jr., 37, both of Halifax.
The four-wheeler was recovered by Brown and returned to the owner.
Northington was arrested and charged with attempt to obtain property by false pretenses, possession of stolen goods, and receiving stolen property. He received a $2,000 bond and September 28 court date.
Snider was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses and possession of stolen goods.He received a $10,000 bond and the same court date as Northington.
