NCSO blotter: September 5-19, 2016

The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain Patrick Jacobs:

September 5, 2016
At approximately 6:35 p.m., deputies T. Worrell and A. Leitner responded to the area of Deberry’s Mill Road n Conway, about a man lying in the middle of the road.
The man was identified as Clinton White of Conway and discovered to be intoxicated.
When deputies attempted to get him out of the road for his own safety, he became uncooperative and was subsequently arrested.
Clinton was arrested and bonded for $500 on the charge of being intoxicated and disruptive.

September 6, 2016
At approximately 11:16 p.m., Deputy M. Walton and Chief V. Powell of the Seaboard Police Department located Wardell Williams at his residence in Seaboard for outstanding warrants.
Williams was served warrants for assault on a female and communicating threats.
He was placed in the Northampton County Jail and received no bond pending a 48 hour domestic violence hold.

September 8, 2016
At approximately 11:05 a.m., Sergeant W. James served outstanding warrants for driving while license revoked on King Whitaker of Rich Square.
Whitaker received a $500 secured bond.

Jacobs, while assisting investigators from the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, served outstanding warrants on Deryck Bennett of Garysburg.
Bennett was served an outstanding warrant for robbery with a dangerous weapon that occurred in Nash County.

Jacobs served outstanding warrants on Satoria Richardson of Seaboard for second-degree trespass.
Richardson received a $500 secured bond.

Deputy D. Shephard served outstanding warrants on Ryan Turner of Gaston for larceny of a firearm.
These warrants were taken out in Halifax County and Turner received a $10,000 secured bond with his first court appearance in Halifax County set for October 24.

September 9, 2016
At approximately 9:43 a.m., Deputy T. Antunez located Tavish Williams of Garysburg at his residence.
Antunez arrested and served an outstanding order for arrest and Williams received a $600 secured bond.

September 10, 2016
At approximately 12:22 p.m., Worrell located Tony Shearin of Rich Square at a store in Rich Square.
Worrell arrested Shearin and outstanding warrants were served for assault by pointing a gun and assault on a female.
Shearin received a $1,500 secured bond.

September 11, 2016
At approximately 10:22 p.m., Deputy K. Byrum conducted a vehicle stop on Deandre Miles of Garysburg for a minor traffic violation.
Upon approaching Miles, Byrum smelled a strong odor of alcohol.
With assistance and further investigation from Jacobs and Sergeant D. Twine, Byrum located a small bag containing marijuana.
The state Highway Patrol was called to assist and he was arrested for driving while impaired. He received a $500 secured bond.
Byrum obtained warrants for possession of marijuana up to a half-ounce and Miles received a $500 secured bond on that charge.

September 12, 2016
Deputy A. Young served an outstanding order for arrest on Jessie Pugh of Rich Square.
Pugh received a $500 secured bond and a court appearance in Halifax County set for November 4.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., Lieutenant M. Deloatch served warrants he obtained on Tom Price of Garysburg.
An investigation was conducted by Deloatch where a female victim reported she was driving in an area of Gaston on September 2.
Upon stopping for traffic in the roadway, Price forced himself into her vehicle and demanded the victim drive him to another location.
While in the vehicle and arriving to the desired location, Price refused to exit the vehicle before demanding money from the victim.
Price was served a warrant for felonious restraint and received a $5,000 secured bond.
Sheriff Jack Smith said all drivers need to keep their doors locked at all times and hopefully this will help prevent a person from just opening their doors and getting into the vehicle without the driver’s permission. “I encourage drivers to dial 911 if someone were to get into their vehicle without their permission and if their life feels threatened they should, if possible pull the car off to a safe location, remove the key from vehicle and go to a safe location of neighbors and continue to call 911. If it occurs near a city or town it is best for the driver to proceed to the nearest law enforcement agency or nearest officer.”

September 13, 2016
At approximately 12:53 p.m. deputies W. Whitley, A. Johnson, and Captain B. Simmons responded to an area in Conway where a man was irate and trespassing.
Steven Brooks refused to cooperate with the officers.
Upon attempting to arrest to arrest him, he resisted and became more irate.
Simmons arrested Brooks and obtained warrants for resisting a public officer, assault on a government official, and injury to personal property.
Brooks received a $2,000 secured bond and a first court appearance of November 15.

September 15, 2016
Simmons with other deputies served outstanding warrants on Donte Barnes of Seaboard.
These warrants were obtained by the Seaboard Police Department for breaking and entering, felony larceny, and injury to personal property.
Barnes received a $6,500 secured bond.

September 16, 2016
Antunez located Ralph Moody of Garysburg on Deerfield Road.
Moody was arrested and served outstanding warrants for assault on a female and communicating threats.
Moody received a 48 hour domestic violence hold.

At approximately 12:49 a.m., Deputy K. Henderson located Danielle Miles of Woodland on Tomahawk Trail.
Miles was arrested and served an outstanding order for arrest from Halifax County and received a $2,000 secured bond with the next court appearance set for September 27.

Deputy W. Martin served an outstanding order for arrest on Rodale Daniels of Pleasant Hill.
Daniels received a $300 secured bond and next court appearance for October 26.

Deputy J. Barnes served outstanding warrants on Wilbert Goode of Garysburg for failing to report change of new address by sex offender and misdemeanor probation violation.
These warrants were obtained by Major D. Harmon.
Goode received a $5,500 secured bond and first court appearance for September 26.

Leitner and Sergeant C. Collier, with assistance from Officer Bracy with the Conway Police Department, responded to a location on Indian Trail in Woodland.
A homeowner said several men and a woman with guns forced their way into the residence. The men assaulted one adult male occupant inside, a juvenile male, and also assaulted the female caller.
The men chased the adult male out of the residence. During this home invasion the male suspects turned the power off inside the residence by damaging the power meter box.
The homeowner was able to give a good description and identification of the suspects. Deputies checked the area for suspects and Collier located Raquan Williams of Woodland.
Williams was arrested.
Detective J. Jenkins was called out to conduct an investigation and warrants were obtained on Williams for one count of first-degree burglary, one count of injury to personal property, and four counts of second-degree kidnapping.
Jenkins also obtained warrants on the remaining three suspects who have not been taken into custody.
The three remaining suspects include Eddie Sheppard, Shameek Williams, and Bieshera Pennick all of Arrowhead Mobile Home Park in Woodland.
Smith encourages all citizens to dial 911 anytime there is any type of home invasion and to begin to pay close attention to the person or persons committing this crime so that a good description can be given. “We encourage them to remain as calm as possible and gather any and as much information as can be gathered so that the person doing these things can be prosecuted in the court of law.”
Smith acknowledged the assistance from the police departments of Conway, Jackson and Ahoskie. “I would like to thank Sergeant Jenkins for the time and effort he put into working this case and as he continues to work this case. I am very thankful that no one was injured during this home invasion that occurred near Woodland. I encourage anyone that comes into contact with the remaining suspects to use caution and if anyone knows their whereabouts to contact the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.”

September 17, 2016
At approximately 8:44 p.m., Worrell and Lieutenant M. Goffington with the Garysburg Police Department conducted a vehicle stop on Old Highway.
Rodale Daniels of Pleasant Hill was arrested and a warrant obtained for driving while license revoked.
Daniels received a $1,000 secured bond and first court appearance set for October 26.

September 19, 2016
Deputy M. Walton served outstanding warrants on Kiiriq Collins of Rich Square for breaking and entering, felony larceny, and injury to personal property.
These warrants were obtained upon an investigation by Chief Powell of Seaboard.
Collins received a $10,500 secured bond.
