The Halifax Academy Lady Vikings beat Lawerence Academy Tuesday afternoon in the semifinal round of the NCISAA 1A State Softball Play-off Championship 6-5.

In the circle for Halifax, Ashlyn Cooke pitched all 7 innings with 7 strike outs and 2 walks

The Vikings advance to face the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles this weekend in the best 2 of 3 NCISAA 1A State Softball Championship series.
