The Roanoke Valley Grls Softball League (RVGSL) 10U All-star team played their Babe Ruth District Tournament this past weekend in Rocky Mount.
The 10U team won their first two games Saturday sending them to the Championship game Monday. Monday the Roanoke Valley team beat the Rocky Mount team finishing the tournament 3-0 undefeated earning the 10U District Championship.
Coach and RVGSL President James Odom stated, "All of the teams represented the Roanoke Valley well, the 8u finished 2nd and the 12u also finished 1st, all 3 teams will be heading to the State Championship in Havelock in 2 wks".
