The Roanoke Rapids High School Lady Yellow Jackets soccer team  beat Northern Nash 9-0 at Hoyle Field Thursday night and earned the Northern Carolina Conference Champions with an undefeated regular season 10-0

Jackets Goals: Catherine MacNichol with 7, Jennah Gross with 1 and Sydney McCraw with 1

Jackets Assists: Catherine MacNichol 1, Kamdyn Jean 3, Skyler Wade 1

Rylie Wade had 6 saves in goal for the Jackets.

It was also Senior night for Lady Jackets Catherine MacNichol. MacNichol is the daughter of Glenn and Anna MacNichol and played all 4 years for the Lady Jackets and was captain the last 2 years.

She has 162 cumulative goals and 16 assists and was named the Northern Carolina Conference Player of the year her freshman and sophomore years as well as All Region. She was voted All State her sophomore year and has lead her teams to 3 Northern Carolina Conference Championships with a cumulative record of 43-3. She is the valedictorian of the class of 2021.

Her future plans are to attend Carnegie Mellon University, where she will be playing soccer, and major in Biology and Psychology on the Pre-med track.
