The Roanoke Rapids High school Lady Yellow Jackets soccer team wrapped up their 2019 regular season Thursday night at home at Hoyle field honoring their seniors.

Not only did they win the conference match-up 8-0 against Granville Central. but finished as Northern Carolina Co-Conference champions with South Granville.

Roanoke Rapids goals were by Ella King and Catherine MacNichol each having a Hat-Trick (three goals each) while Morgan Davis had two.

Jackets with assists were Catherine MacNichol with three, Morgan Davis and Cameron Neal with one.

Roanoke Rapids goalie Hannah Moseley had five saves in goal.


Now the Lady Jackets wait for the NCHSAA State playoff brackets to be released Monday..

RRHS Women’s Soccer Senior Night 2019

Karri Blackmon- #1- Parents are Michael Blackmon and Shannon Crawford. She has a 4 year total of 5 goals and 2 assists. She is a member of DECA and plans to attend Halifax Community College and pursue an Associate’s Degree in Business and Cosmetology. 
    • Morgan Davis- #6- Parents are Dennis and Carrie Davis.  Morgan is a 3 year captain for the lady jackets. She has a 4 year total of 31 goals and 27 assists. She was voted All Conference in 2018.  Morgan is a member of DECA, the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Key Club.  She plans to attend NC State and dual major in Chemical Engineering and Paper Science.
    • Emli Edwards- #22- Father is Brian Edwards. 4 year member of the lady jackets soccer team. Emli is in the National Honor Society and Student Council. She   plans to attend East Carolina University and major in Special Education Childhood Development and obtain an Audiology Degree.

    • Taylor Epps- #5- Parents are Michael Epps and Alison Epps. She has a 4 year total of 7 goals, 3 assists and 12 saves in goal.  She was voted All Conference in 2018.  She is a member of DECA and plans to attend East Carolina University and major in Chemistry with a minor in Forensics.
    • Brittany Milan- #15- Parents are Philip and Kimberly Milan. 2 year total of 5 goals and 8 assists.  She has served as a captain this year.  She received All Conference in 2018.  She plans to attend Wake Tech on a soccer scholarship and transfer to ECU to become a pediatric nurse.
    • Elizabeth Strickland- #2- Parents are Ann and Scott Strickland.  She is a 3 year member of the lady jackets team. She is a member of HOSA and plans to attend East Carolina University and major in nursing.
    • Angel Wright-#9- Mother is Linda Wright.  She is 3 year member of the soccer team. She is a member of HOSA and the National Art Honor Society and plans to attend Halifax Community College and obtain a degree in nursing. 



      These ladies have an overall record so far of 48-17-4 with the past 2 years going 30-2.
