The 2A/3A Big East Conference Cross Country Meet was held in Red Oak yesterday.
The Yellow Jackets ran with great purpose. The Roanoke Rapids High boys were led by Camden Gray, Braxton Coggins, Brandall Coggins, and Arafat Qasem. They finished 5th overall with an average time of 22:28. The boys are 12th in the region and will compete in Regional Meet in Raleigh October 29th.
The Roanoke Rapids High girls won the 2A-3A Big East Conference Meet with a score of 38 points. They were led by Savannah Medlin who earned Runner of the Year and also All Conference with a time of 21:34. She was followed by Kara Baird and Anna Grace King who received All Conference. Emilee Campbell, Skyler Wade and Pari Tiwari sealed the win finishing 12th, 13th and 22nd. The girls are 4th in the region and looking ahead to the Regional Meet in Raleigh October 29th.
