The Halifax Academy Vikings competed in the  CIC Cross Country Championship Meet at Rocky Mount Academy this past Friday.

The Vikings had a strong showing with the Girls finishing 3rd overall and the Boys finishing 6th.

The Halifax runners raced well with most runners posting a season best and all runners having a strong performance.

For the Lady Vikings, Morgan Hudomint earned All-Conference, placing 3rd on the All-Conference team. She also earned All-Conference Championship honors with a 3rd place finish, posting a time of 21:36. 

For the Boys, Thomas Garrett earned All-Conference honors as 5th on the All-Conference team. Additionally,  he ran to a 5th place finish in a time of 17:59 to earn All-Championship Meet honors.

The Vikings will compete at the State Championship Meet at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, NC.
