The 3rd Annual "Team Mike" Middle School Holiday Basketball Tournament day two was left in the dark Friday night at Weldon Middle School.

The first game of the night between Halifax College Prep and Gaston College Prep was well into the third period when the lights went out. Teams and fans tried sitting the outage out and return to the court, but after an hour and half, school officials and organizers decided to cancel the nights events. With players and coaches leaving town for the Holidays, The HCP vs GCP will not be finished and the Wyatt vs Weldon game will not be made up.

The Halifax College Prep vs Gaston College Prep girls game has been moved to Saturday December 22nd at Noon at Gaston College Prep gym in Gaston. All Friday night special printed donation tickets will be honored. 

Organizers understand some ticket purchasers will not be able to attend, but all need to understand this was a fundraiser event with ticket purchase as a donation.
