ASHLAND, Va. – D3hoops.com announced that Randolph-Macon junior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) was a member of its 2018-19 Preseason Women's All-America team Wednesday.

The four squads plus an honorable mention group represent 25 different institutions across Division III women's basketball. Williams earned a spot on the First Team.

This is Williams' second such honor this preseason. She was named the Preseason National Player of the Year by Women's DIII news. Williams returns as the reigning Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Year and an All-American by three organizations: The Women's Basketball Coaches Association, D3hoops.com and Women's DIII News. She led the nation in points per game, total points, total rebounds and double-doubles last year while starting all 29 games in 2017-18. In her freshman season, she was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year and led the conference in rebounds per game and total rebounds.

Randolph-Macon was chosen by D3hoops.com as the No. 25 team in its preseason poll, released earlier this week. The team will welcome a total seven new players this season along with one player who will be rejoining from 2016-17. Head Coach Carroll LaHaye will begin her 37th season in 2018-19, with her squad beginning play at No. 16 Marymount on November 12 at 6:00 PM.
