The Roanoke Rapids Varsity Baseball team beat Louisburg by a score of 11-4 on Tuesday night.

Shep Fowler started on the mound and picked up the win.  He pitched 6 innings and struck out 9 batters.  Jon Lewis Temple closed the game out with a scoreless inning in which he struck out 2 batters.

The Yellow Jackets offense was led by Jon Temple with 2 hits and 4 RBI.  Austin Geary (1 RBI), Collin Elias (2 RBI), and Maddox Bullock (1 RBI) had 1 hit apiece.

Coach Mark Snead stated, "Shep pitched another great game.  He did an excellent job of limiting their opportunities.  Jon also came in and pitched a strong inning.  Offensively we started off sluggish, but were able to make adjustments and put more pressure on them as the game wore on.  I am proud of the way we were able to come from behind and get this big conference win."

RRHS improves to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the Big East 2A/3A Conference.  The Yellow Jackets will host Louisburg on Thursday night at 6pm at Doyle Field.
