The Roanoke Rapids High School Varsity Baseball team picked up a 7-2 win on the road at JF Webb on Thursday night.

For the Jackets, Bennett Liverman started on the mound and pitched 6 strong innings to pick up the win.  Braxton Coggins closed the game out with a scoreless  7th inning to preserve the win.

Leading hitters for RRHS were Austin Geary with 3 hits (double), and with 1 hit apiece were Caleb Elias with (triple), AJ Strickland, Matthew MacNichol, Josh Coker, and Maddox Bullock.

Coach Mark Snead stated, "This was a great team victory.  Webb is a good team and we played one of our most complete games of the season to pick up the win.  Bennett and Braxton did a great job of throwing strikes and keeping their hitters off balance.  Our defense played error free baseball behind them and our offense got timely hits throughout the game.  I am very proud of how our guys played tonight."

With the win RRHS improves to 8-0 on the season and in the Northern Carolina Conference.

The next game for the Yellow Jackets will be a home contest against JF Webb on Wednesday June 2.  Game time is slated for 6pm.
