The Roanoke Rapids High School Yellow Jackets Varsity Baseball team picked up a big win over conference foe Louisburg on Tuesday night by a score of 11-1 in 6 innings.

AJ Strickland pitched the completed game win striking out 14 batters.

 

Leading hitters for the Yellow Jackets were Austin Geary with 2 hits (double) and 3 RBI, Jon Lewis Temple with 2 hits (double) and 1 RBI, Caleb Elias with 2 hits (triple) and 1 RBI, AJ Strickland with 1 hit (double) and 1 RBI, Josh Coker with 1 hit and 1 RBI, Colin Clements with 1 hit, and Maddox Bullock with 1 hit (triple).

 

Jackets head coach Mark Snead stated, "This was another complete team victory.  AJ pitched excellent tonight for the win.  Our offense took some good approaches at the plate and every batter reached base at least once.  I am proud of every guy on our team right now for coming together and pushing each other to be better every day."

 

With the win RRHS improves to 3-0 overall and in the conference.  The next game for the Yellow Jackets is scheduled for Friday night at Louisburg.  Game time is set for 6pm.
