Halifax Academy baseball team opened their 2020 season Tuesday afternoon against Ridgecroft.

Halifax beat Ridgecroft School 5-1. 

Halifax’s record 1-0. 

Halifax leading hitters:  Bryce Cooke 2 for 3, Jake Merritt 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, Wesley Boerner 1 for 2 with 1 RBI, Stacey Mumford 1 for 3, Zach Elder 1 for 4 and Dylan Woodard 1 for 1 with 1 RBI. 

Halifax Pitching:  Zach Elder winning pitcher with 15 Ks and allowed 3 hits and 1 unearned run.  Stacey Mumford got the save.
