Mamie Brown Pearson, 102, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed to her eternal home in glory on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Pearson was born in Northampton County, NC, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Brown and Christiana White Brown. Her husband, Jessie Lee Pearson, a granddaughter, Linda Pearson, and a daughter-in-law, Betty Pearson, also preceded her in death.

She retired from J. P. Stevens & Company with over 40 years of service. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and most of all a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Surviving are two sons: Louis Lee Pearson of Colonial Heights, VA, and Franklin D. Pearson, and his wife Effie, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; six grandchildren - Laura P. Blackmon, of Colonial Heights, VA, Phillip Pearson, of Princeton, NC, Odell Holliday of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Nancy  Turner of Colonial Heights, VA, Frances Morris of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Franklin D. Pearson, Jr., of Chester, VA; eleven great grandchildren - Christin Cimburke, Jake Reid, Nathan Pearson, Danielle Pearson, Lydia Pearson, Maggie Pearson, Ashley Turner, Owen Turner, Scott Morris, Landen Morris and Trey Pearson; and five great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1015 West Fifth Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 2:00 PM, at Victory Baptist Church, 2360 Bolling Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC, with Reverend Jeremy Kobernat officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Memorial donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church.
