Charles Edward “Eddie” Wright, Jr., 73, died at his residence while surrounded by his family,  Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Eddie was born in Roanoke Rapids, January 28, 1949, son to the late Charles Edward Sr. and Ann Collins Wright. 

He was inducted into the Roanoke Rapids High School Hall of Fame, as a Quarterback, he later joined the United States Army, where he was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam Conflict. Eddie also loved all people and he especially loved duck hunting.  

In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his son, Charles E. Wright, III.  

Surviving is his wife, Margaret Moore McLin Wright of the home; his step-son, Tony Wood and wife, Brandy, of Roanoke Rapids; daughter, Farrah Wright of Raleigh and his 6 grandchildren, Brandy Wood, Marc Wood, Cody Wood, Tyler Wright, Mason Wright and Taylor Wright.

Rev. Dr. Dennis Gregory will conduct a graveside service with Military Rites at Cedarwood Cemetery- Roanoke Rapids Thursday, June 30, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am.
