James Edward Coggins, 61, of Roanoke Rapids, NC died Sunday October 24, 2021, at Signature HealthCare of Roanoke Rapids.

James was born in Halifax County, NC the son of the late James Joyner and Virginia Sanders Joyner.

Surviving James is a sister, Cathy Cooper of Roanoke Rapids, three brothers Larry Eugene Coggins of Tarboro, NC, Charles William Joyner of PA and Jimmy Lynn Joyner of Roanoke Rapids, NC. A special thank you to Emma Allston, his caregiver, for many years.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM, at Odell Missionary Baptist Church, 1763 Embro-Odell Road, Littleton, NC, with Rev. Lennis C. Thorpe Sr. officiating. The Family will receive friends following the service.
