Calvin Moore Floyd, 90, of Valentines, VA died Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Liberty Commons in Weldon, NC.

Calvin was born in Halifax County, NC, the son of the late Cal Floyd and Leaky Eliza Rook Floyd. 

He served in the U. S. Army and graduated from the University of North Carolina, with a degree in Pharmacy. He was the owner and operator of Rosemary Drug Company, in Roanoke Rapids, NC for many years.

Surviving are: a daughter Suzette Floyd (Husband Ken Dunkum) of Port Isabel TX; a sister Carolyn Castillo of Windsor, NC; a grandchild Brice Dunkum of Bossier City, LA: two great grandchildren and his sweetheart Jeanette King Bizzelle.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service, 1015 West Fifth Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Sunday October 31, 2021, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Sue Owens, officiating. The Family will receive following the service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his honor to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
