Roger Lee Barber, 78, of Chester, VA died Sunday May 16, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Barber was born in Oceana, WVA, the son of the late Hugh Edward Barber and Thelma Lettie Dixon Barber. He was retired from Sysco Foods.

Surviving are: his wife Gloria Dean Barber; a daughter Ellen Barber Branson and her husband Shawn, of Chester, VA; two sons Jason Barber and his wife Casey of Concord, NC and Brian Barber and his wife Jennifer of Chester, VA; a sister, Janice Browder and her husband Jim of Disputanta, VA;  a brother, Darrel Barber of Albemarle, NC and 13 grandchildren, Coleman Barber, Emmie Barber, Calvin Barber, Ellerie Barber, Carter Barber, Evie Barber, Lettie Barber, Owen Barber, Ella Barber, Archer Barber, Hunter Branson, Brianna Branson and Ariel Branson.

Graveside services will be held at Cedarwood Cemetery, 225 Kemp Ave., Roanoke Rapids, NC, Friday, May 21, 2021, at 11:00 AM.

Celebration Service will be held at Grace Bible Church, 1200 Coalfield Rd, Midlothian, VA 23114 on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
