William Samuel “Billy” Delbridge passed away Friday October 3, 2025, at UNC Nash Hospital and undoubtedly entered the gates of Heaven.
Billy was born January 29, 1944, to the late Kelly Delbridge and Hinda Delbridge Greenlaw.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Priscilla Ann Harrison Delbridge and his great grandson Joseph Grayson “Jo Jo” Fahey. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Darryl Greenlaw.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Karen Delbridge Reeves (Tommy), Kevin Delbridge, and Todd Delbridge, his grandchildren, Kristen Walters (Andrew), Candace Reeves (JT), Brandon Reeves (McKayla), and Ashley Hundley (Daniel), and his great grandchildren Andrew Mayton IV, Kaitlyn Mayton, Mikey Fahey, Natalie Fahey, Reagan Harris, Emma Reeves, Carly Vick, Addison Hundley, Grayson Reeves, and Zayden Vincent. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother, Minister Lee Delbridge and wife Linda, his sister Lucy Gauldin, his sisters in law Shirley Smith, Kay Poore (Jim), Betty Whitley (Chris), and Lisa Tudor (Richard), many nieces and nephews and a very loving companion, Kathy Lee, whom his children and grandchildren would like to thank for always being a faithful and loving friend.

Billy was baptized in Christ in 1954 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Gasburg, Va where he later served as an Elder and Sunday school teacher for many years. Billy and Ann began attending New Testament Christian church in 1990 to be with Ann’s family and later moved their membership on February 5, 1995 where Billy also served as an elder and Sunday School teacher. He was never ashamed to show his faith in the Lord and used every opportunity to teach others about Jesus. Most importantly he lived a life that showed Jesus and set an amazing example for others.
Billy was employed for many years as a route salesman for Frito Lay, later becoming an owner in a route sales company from which he retired
Arrangements are being handled by Wrenn Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids. Services will be held at New Testament Christian Church on Tuesday October 7, 2025 starting at 1:00pm with Minister Daniel West and Minister Greg Hand officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at Wrenn Funeral Home on Monday October 6, 2025 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and other times at the home of his granddaughter, Kristen Walters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Testament Christian Church.
