Margaret Lee Harris Wells passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025. 

She was born October 4, 1930 in Arcola, NC the daughter of Florence Tucker Harris and Stephen Lee Harris. 

She is also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Maxine Collins. 

Margaret was a 1948 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School. She worked as a bank teller for First Citizens Bank and Trust Company for 24 years and as a sales associate for Hilda’s Fashion House. She was also a long time member of Rosemary United Methodist Church. 

Margaret is survived by her nephew, Dr. Vance Collins Jr and wife Judy of Kill Devil Hills, NC and several cousins. Her very special friends were Janet and Chuck Overton, Sharon Deaton and Millie and Steve Taylor. Margaret loved animals, especially her cats.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 starting at 2:00pm at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Pastor Sue Owens officiating.
