Vivian “Katie” Clements Ferguson passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at her home in Gaston, with her family by her side. She was 81 years old.

Vivian was born to the late Warner M. Clements, Sr. and Vivian Claiborne Clements on December 9, 1943. 

She was a graduate of Gaston High School and employed with Townsend and Bloom Law offices in Emporia, VA for 38 years. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Skippers, VA. She enjoyed baking and was eager to share with her neighbors, friends and family. 

She was a friend to everyone that she met and was a loving and giving person always putting others before herself.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children Warner Ferguson (Charlotte), Laura Dickens (Ron Keene) and Charles Ferguson (Ashley) all of Gaston, NC, sisters, Frances Livesay of Garysburg NC, Marie Edwards (Wayne) of Garysburg NC, Alice Clary of Midlothian VA, Joyce Watson of Emporia VA and a brother, Wayne Clements (Rose) of Emporia VA. She has eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and several cousins. 

Vivian was preceded in death by her brother, Warner Mason Clements Jr. of Skippers VA and niece Stephanie Lee Prince of Broadnax VA.

A special thank you to her nephew Chris Clements for his assistance during this time.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 starting at 1:00pm at Forest Hill Baptist Church, 2103 Pine Long Road, Skippers VA, with William Bucky Ivey and Pastor Rick Ragan officiating. A dessert reception was held following the service in the fellowship hall.
