Maxine Chambliss Sanderson, 70, passed away on Sunday September 28, 2025. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, William R. Dixon and Edith Mae Chambliss, grandson, Austin McCullen, brother, Buck Chambliss and sisters, Rosa Cain, Connie Walker and Sandra Johnson.

Maxine is survived by her children, Scott Daniels, April Edwards, Chris McCullen and Maranda Gilliam, grandchildren, Gage Tinkham, Allison Tinkham, Brooklyn Latham, Amber Whorton, Regan Edwards, Nevaeh Hill, Jabari King, Layton Daniels, Sadie Daniels and Scottlyn Daniels, great grandchildren, Brayden Tinkham, Adalynn Tinkham, Ja’kingi Garner, Chandler Sholar, Brylee Whorton, Layla Marshall and Maliyah Hooker and sister, Verla Jenkins.

Maxine enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, cooking and feeding the squirrels. She loved her grandchildren and her dog Blue. Maxine was a devoted mother and grandmother. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Wrenn Funeral Home starting at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Gregory officiating.
