Betty Ann Pittman Taylor, 89, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at ECU North Hospital.
Betty was born August 10, 1934, to the late Paul Stanley Pittman and Dorothy Butler Pittman. She is also preceded in death by her husband Elmer Maynard Taylor and her brothers Larry Pittman and Stanley Pittman.
Betty Ann was a member of Halifax Baptist Church.

One of her biggest accomplishments was being valedictorian of her high school graduating class.
She was proud to have worked at JP Stevens for over 30 years.
Betty Ann is survived by her daughter Sharon “Sherry” Starke (Michael Barnes), her son Marc Taylor, her grandson Dennis Mickel Starke (Mary Beth), and her sister Sharon Grundy (Bill) of Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held at Hockaday Chapel Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:30PM with the Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
The visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00PM.
