John “Jack” Wesley Allen, 76, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Emporia Health & Rehabilitation Center in Emporia, VA.  

Jack was born October 5, 1946, to the late James Kenneth Allen and Mary Madeline Reynolds Bowen.  He is also preceded in death by his wife Trudy Fitts Allen.  

He was a devoted member of the Roanoke Rapids Church of God for over 40 years.

He is survived by his daughter Dana Allen Cooke (George); his brothers Crow Allen (Becky), Chuck Peterson (Donna), and Rex Allen; his sisters Melodi Carroll (Milton) and Mary Hansen; his God-children Matthew Wheeler and Christopher Wheeler; and his best little buddy Nate Calderon.

The funeral service will be at 2:00PM Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Jason Yeatts officiating.  

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM.  Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
