Dan Edward Warren, born January 11 , 1938, of Halifax passed away on May 19, 2023, at Nash General Hospital

Dan was born in Halifax County to the late Sterling Warren and Callie Mae Warren. 

He was preceded in death by his brothers Grover Warren (Patricia), Billy Warren (Sandra), Tommy Warren (Phyllis), and sister Dean.

Dan is survived by his wife Marie of 63 years, his daughter, Suzette Warren, his sons Dan Warren, Jr. (Chrissy), Kip Warren (Linda); Grandchildren Kaitlin ,Sydney , Zackery , Elizabeth  and Evalina. Sisters Faye Sanderford and Bettie C. Jones.

He took time to serve his country in the US Army but it wasn't long before him and Marie came back to what would always be home in Darlington (BuzzardTown).  He grew up farming with his family and even though he had other ventures, his greatest passion was farming.  He taught his sons  and grandson what  he knew of farming and continued to  work with them every day. 

He was proud of all his children. He took the most pride in being Poppi to his 5  grandchildren. 

He was a husband to Marie for over 60 years. She walked through life with him every step of the way, always putting him first. 

He may not have been the one to sit and visit or show up to a gathering but if you needed his help, or didn't, he would be there. 

He will truly be missed. 

Graveside services will be at 2:00PM Tuesday, May 23,2023 at the Warren-Hedgepeth Family Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends following the service at Kip's shop, 166 Hux Road, Littleton, NC, at all other times at the home of Marie and Dan Warren.
