Ramona Lee Turner Twisdale, 85, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina went to be with her Lord on April 27th, 2023 at The Landings of Lake Gaston in Littleton, N.C.

She was born in Brattleboro, Vermont to the late Myron (Mike) Turner and the late Mary Lee Cook Turner of Halifax, N.C. and was the wife of the late Rev. Sam Twisdale.

She was a gentle soul who loved the Lord and her family above all. Her writings of stories and beautiful poetry, her wit and passion for life touched everyone she encountered.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Kelly Twisdale of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. and her brothers, Robert Turner and Joel Turner both of Halifax, N.C.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Mitchell and her husband Bill, of Athens, Al. and Diana Twisdale and Merrie Jill Twisdale both of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; her five grandsons,

Tadd Mitchell, Brooks Twisdale, Tyler Twisdale, Dusty Whitby, Travis Whitby and six granddaughters, Yolanda Casper, April Twisdale, Amy Wright, Heather Ingrum, Shonda Whitby and Britney Shaw. She is also survived by her brothers, Albert Turner and his wife Faye, of Lynchburg, Va., Robin Turner and his wife Frances, David Turner and his wife Patricia, Danny Turner and sisters-in-law, Elaine Turner and Linda Turner, all of Halifax, N.C. as well as great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A celebration service of her life and her life everlasting will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday May 27th at  Halifax Baptist Church in Halifax, N.C.
