Mary Moseley Strickland, 81, of Roanoke Rapids gained her angel wings on 01/17/22 at Central Harnett Health Hospital.
She was born on 02/26/1940 in Brunswick Co., VA to the late Lonnie Elgin and Minnie Crowder Moseley.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, gardening and bird watching. She retired from Belk Dept. Store with more than 35 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Thomas, Roy (Pete), Robert and Lonnie Jr., sisters Lillian Carter, Jean Salmon, Helen Salmon, and Barbara Spruill.
Left to cherish her memories are her children Keith Bennett (Teresa) of RR, Tammie Cooke of Portsmouth, Va, Kim Edwards (Glenn) of RR, Tony Strickland (Lisa) of Sanford, grandchildren, Brad Crawley, Ashleigh Edwards of RR, Alex and Jasmin Strickland of Sanford, Travis, Allen, Michele Cooke of Portsmouth, Dennis (Amy) and Wesley Bennett of RR, Michael, Jimmy and Kevin Cooke, great grandkids Bella ‘Rae Norman, Dracen, Devin, Andi and Little B, sister Nita Harrell of Jarret, Va.
The family will have a service to remember Ms. Strickland’s life Sunday, January 23, 2022, in the chapel at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service beginning at 2 pm. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
