Patrick Michael “Pat” McBride, 68 of Jackson Street, Roanoke Rapids passed away  Friday, May 1, 2015 at his home.

Pat was born October 16, 1946 in Panama City, Panama to the late William and Elizabeth Asher McBride.  Pat was also preceded in death by his son: Patrick Joseph McBride; his sister: Elizabeth Keisen.

Pat loved cars and Nascar racing.  Pat owned and operated Pat’s Transmission Repair.  He had a great sense of humor, loved making people laugh and telling stories.  Loved his family, people, animals and his  friends.  He was always considerate and thinking of others.

Pat is survived by his best friend and partner in life Sharon Driscoll; his daughters: Kathleen Jane Pompper and her husband Jeff of , NJ, Rebecca Sue Merritt and her husband Jonathan of Macon, NC and Amy Driscoll Smythe and her husband Scot of Maryland; his grandchildren: Denis Allen, David Wayne Liverman, Matthew Scott Liverman, Michael Alexander Smythe, Mary Elizabeth Liverman, Jacob Patrick Smythe and Holly Claire Pompper.

A memorial service celebrating Pat’s life will be held 11:00 A.M.  Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
