Mary Belle Wheeler Casper Davis, 100, of Margarettsville passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at home.

Mary was born August 3, 1919, in Northampton County to the late James Henry Wheeler and Jennie Belle Paris Wheeler. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph L. Casper and Linwood Lawrence Davis, Sr.; her brother, Lewis Wheeler; her sisters, Edith Elliott and Marie Brown; her half-sisters, Emma Wilson and Gertie Britton; her half-brothers, Jesse Wheeler, Raymond Wheeler, Hubert Wheeler and Shelley Wheeler.

Mary Belle was a retired seamstress working over 42 years with Mylcraft in Rich Square and Seaboard Industries in Seaboard. 

She was very proud to be a century old that she never took any medicine for anything her entire life to get her there. 

She was a devoted Christian who loved all of her family and friends dearly, but loved her Lord and Savior most of all. She served her church and community for many, many years in the name of Jesus. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Edwards of Margarettsville; her grandchildren, Tammy Burke and her husband David, Ted Edwards and his wife Donna and Tony Edwards and his wife Denise; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Burke, Kelley Burke, Lauren Lawrence and her husband Brantley, Branden Edwards and his fiancé Chelsea and Macie Edwards; her sister, Dora Hulse.She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Galatia Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Porter and Rev. Ricky Barnes officiating. Private family burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 P.M. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Edwards.
