Flossie Letchworth Lloyd, 99, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 in The Landings of Lake Gaston. 

A native of Goldsboro, NC, born to her late parents; Minnie Peyton Letchworth and Frank Floyd Letchworth, Sr.  She was also preceded by her two husbands: James Clayton Lynch of 37 years, father of her three children, and Thomas David Lloyd of 10 years. As well as her two grandsons Lewis Wade Lloyd and Oral Vade Lynch, Jr., and one son-in-law James Roy Gray, Jr.

Those left to cherish Flossie’s memories are her three children:  Linda Clayton Lynch Gray of Gaston, Oral Vade Lynch of Roanoke Rapids, and Jimmy Mark Lynch of Raleigh, a stepson Gregory Alan Lloyd (Ruth) of Indianapolis, IN, two grandsons:  Justin Neal Lynch of Raleigh and Eric Paul Sutton of Gaston, one granddaughter, Cathy Elizabeth Volz (Nick) of FL, great granddaughter Reagan Volz; two sister-in-laws:  nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Lloyd was a charter member of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church of Roanoke Rapids, Flossie loved her church and her Pastor Tony Smith.
Flossie was a UNC Tar Heel fan.  She enjoyed drawing, writing simple poetry and crocheting.  The Holy Bible was Flossie’s book choice for reading. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2025 at Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Tony Smith officiating.  

Entombment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
