Derisa Aquila Moore, 66, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at ECU Health North.

Derisa was born April 15, 1959, in Halifax County to the late Elec McCoy Moore and Charlotte Hardy Moore.

Derisa is survived by her brother, McCoy Blair Moore; and her sisters, Melissa Harris and her husband Thad and Delisha Moore Turner and her husband Michael.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Community Church of Christ with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Earl Cain officiating. 

Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
