Robert A. “Bud” Clary, 79, entered his eternal home Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

Bud was born May 28, 1939, in Halifax County to the late Emmett Robert Clary and Cassie Rook Clary.

Bud worked as a pipefitter and graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School.

He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Bud was also an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.

Bud is survived by his wife Lois Coates Clary; his sons, Robert A. Clary, Jr. and Mark Dickens and his wife Trudy; his daughter, Michele Baldwin and her husband Lewis; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Wrenn; his grandchildren, Brooke Osborne and her husband Jeremy, John Dickens, Ethan Dickens, Marshall Dickens, Colin Clary, Kaylee Clary, Jase Robert Clary and Brian Clary; his great-grandchildren, Aiden Bennet Osborne, Peyton Bailey Osborne and Mason David Osborne.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2019 at Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Waters officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 P.M. Friday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Brother Jerry Waters, a pastor he dearly loved and his wife Glenda.
